For a three-night trip, two extra return journeys can be a meaningful share of the holiday. Sketch each day and add transport time next to its cost. A city hotel may reduce evening travel; a beach hotel may remove daily journeys to the sea. Choose the base that fits most days, then make one deliberate excursion.
